The Redmi AX5 Wi-Fi 6 router was launched at a price of 229 yuan

As promised, Redmi Xiaomi has officially launched its new AX5 Wi-Fi 6 router in China. This router is the first Wi-Fi 6A router to be launched by this brand.

The Redmi AX5 Wi-Fi 6 router is priced at 229 yuan ($ 32). The device will start pre-ordering in China on June 10 at 10:00 a.m. local time and will be available for purchase soon.

The router has four independent signal booster antennas and increases the signal strength by up to 4 decibels and the covered area by 50%. According to the company, the router can download HD video in just eight seconds at 1775 Mbps, which is about 52% faster than Wi-Fi 5.

It also comes with support for Xiaomi's Wi-Fi 6 network mesh and network mixers. It should be noted that Xiaomi has released two Wi-Fi routers on the market this year, the Mi AX1800 router and the Mi AIoT AX3600 router .

The Redmi AX5 Wi-Fi 6's router is powered by Qualcomm's five-core chipset, which is manufactured using a 14-nanometer node process. It also includes an independent NPU for hardware-level acceleration.

The company has confirmed that the router is optimized to connect to 128 devices, including smart home products. In addition, the settings on the router can be controlled or adjusted using the app on smartphones.
