My favorite manufacturer of cheap headphones has created a wireless model for the masses. Audictus Leader - review

Don't get confused by the name. Audictus Leader are not headphones for leaders. The equipment is aimed at a mass customer who likes to feel the bass and knows every summer hit. Compact, wireless and pretty, headphones can be a sales hit.

The Audictus headphones gained my recognition a few years ago, thanks to a very decent sound plan, without pushing everything towards the low tones and the V system. You could feel that someone who knows music is behind the brand, and who is reasonably playing with the price slider -capabilities.

Audictus Leader headphones turn this order upside down.

The equipment is advertised with club graphics with DJs and consoles. This is an intentional act of Audictus, suggesting a target audience for their product. Leaders are intended mainly for lovers of strong bass, electronic music and club playing. This equipment is for those who must have a bass boosted compilation in the car and for those who know that a trap is not just a trap.

Headphones with strong bass can be divided into two main categories. The first is a wide and numerous group of poorly calibrated devices, where the boorish and crude bass is supposed to kill and drown out any deficiencies. The second group are headphones that really grow while the bass dominates the song, while maintaining a decent soundstage and a decent plan.

Fortunately Audictus Leader belongs to the latter category.

This is quite an achievement, taking into account the price of the device, which is about PLN 280. For this amount, we get good, strong and loud wireless headphones, perfectly harmonizing with electronic music and popular music. The Leaders' bass is neither empty nor knocking. It is relatively wide, and it does not clash with other tones. It doesn't come on vocals, it spreads well and doesn't clog the stage.

Right, the scene. The leaders play decently broadly, and they try their hand (minimally, but still) in length. Headphones create a truly correct sound environment that the mass consumer will appreciate. The emphasis on low tones, combined with a wide sound, is a recipe for easy satisfaction of less demanding consumers. Those who like loud, strong and strong.

Justice, Daft Punk, The Bloody Beetroots, Toxic Avenger, Kavinsky, even Royksopp - these are all artists who sound really good on the Leaders. On the other hand, rock and metal performs well, thanks to the wide stage and no excessive abuse of high tones. Headphones can undoubtedly be a universal solution, but of course, turning towards electronics, then pop and possibly hip-hop.

The problem is that our electronics can also be heard by others.

Audictus Leader are really loud headphones. Unfortunately, with great power does not come with great responsibility . On the train or bus, I cannot afford a moment of madness and very loud listening. If someone is sitting or standing next to me, I am almost sure that such a person will have to listen to the compilation with me. The leaders convey a bit of sound outside. Isolation could be better.

However, I cannot write a bad word about preparation for field work. Leaders are foldable headphones that take up really little space in a backpack or bag. In wireless mode, they work up to 20 hours (real tests show me from 16h to 18h), and they are fully charged in 2 hours. The great advantage of the headphones is their appearance. Music. Universal. Raw. Simple. They can be worn without shame, plus they have a damn nice texture on the earcup casing. I would have endlessly.

As a migraine who is sensitive to the fit of the headphones to the shape of the head, and also to pressure, I judge Leadry correctly. Audictus has more comfortable headphones in its portfolio, but a direct comparison to under-size models is a bit unfair. I would like to set up Leaders as long as I don't spend more than two hours in them. Travel from Katowice to Warsaw? Sure. Unhealthy, exhausting, long-lasting marathon with a clan in World of Warcraft? Here, for example, HyperX will do much better.

Just don't pick up the phone with these headphones.

When connecting wirelessly, Audictus Leader uses the Bluetooth 4.2 standard and the aptX-LL codec. The listening session without cables is almost perfect. Differences from the analog connection are practically inaudible. The sound is not shallow. The equipment gets along very well with mobile devices and does not fret when forgetting and pairing. This very good effect is only spoiled by the incoming connection to the mobile phone.

The Leaderów microphone built into the housing is terrible. Just awful. It pulls everything down, doesn't filter it, doesn't make the surroundings quieter, doesn't prioritize my voice. A phone call is very inconvenient. Especially on the train or bus. The solution is the attached microphone on the feeder, available in the set. It works well, but should we really carry such a feeder when leaving the apartment? Of course not.

Audictus Leader - the bass will like it, the masses will like it.

At a price of PLN 279 per box, Audictus once again delivers a product worth the customers' money. At the same time, for the first time the producer took such a risk with the sound. The experiment was successful and every basshead can already rub their hands. The headphones are great for club and electronic music, and from poverty they are also suitable for gaming and universal listening.

The biggest advantages:

  • Solid low tones that do not dominate the rest
  • A surprisingly wide scene
  • 20 hours of operation is the correct result
  • Foldable, compact, relatively comfortable
  • Universal, pleasant, subdued look
  • 6.3mm slot for consoles, towers and so on
  • Bassheads can move their necks now

The biggest disadvantages:

  • Fatal microphone
  • No case included
  • Poor insulation
  • I would prefer USB-C charging
  • Cheaper Winners are better at rock and metal
