Now it's official. With the Poco X4 Pro 5G, Xiaomi has presented its new mid-range smartphone, which is sold at a very attractive price but also has to make a compromise. Overall, the Poco X4 Pro 5G is an attractive choice if you don't want a Samsung phone.

Poco X4 Pro 5G: Xiaomi has to save on the processor

The Poco X4 Pro 5G succeeds the Poco X3 Pro - at least almost. Purely from the name, the specifications have been scaled down a bit with the processor. While the predecessor still uses a high-end Snapdragon 860, the new generation has to be content with the Snapdragon 695 . The performance will therefore be a bit lower and the smartphone will be placed even more clearly in the middle class. There is also 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage or 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

Visually, the Poco X4 Pro 5G is quite a treat. The angular design looks modern and the camera unit clearly stands out. The lettering on the back is relatively large, but not completely exaggerated. A 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz is used, which has a Full HD+ resolution. There was an important improvement here, because the brightness is now said to be up to 700 nits . This is important because the predecessor's display was a bit too dark in direct sunlight. The battery measures 5,000 mAh and can be charged quickly with a cable at 67 watts.

A 108 MP camera is installed on the back of the Poco X4 Pro 5G, which should deliver good image quality. There is also an 8 MP ultra wide angle and a 2 MP macro camera. There is a 16 MP selfie camera on the front.
