{Disarmed} Android Auto 7.4 is now available: although you may not be able to update to the latest version (for now)
Android Auto is the interface to be able to control our mobile from the car in a simple way . Now Google has released Android Auto 7.4 , the latest version that you can now update to and that puts the focus on the interface.
A few weeks ago, Android Auto incorporated a new look called CoolWalk , an interface in which the information appears much more organized.
With the arrival of this latest version, it seems that Google has decided to continue polishing the interface little by little. Now it has also focused on performance so that everything works smoothly when navigating between different tabs.
How to update to the latest version
First of all, you should know that not everyone can update to the latest version because you need a rooted mobile. It should be noted that this version is already ready to be deployed on Google Play , but for the moment it has not done so.
If you have Root, you just have to follow the following steps:
- First things first: check your app store to see if Android Auto 7.4 is already available. If you have an update you just have to install it.
- As Android Auto is still an app, you can update the system on your mobile by downloading the APK. In this case, from APK Mirror .
- Choose the version that best suits your phone (it's probably arm64-v8a) and download the file to your mobile.
- Run the APK on your Android phone and update Android Auto to version 7.4
- The file is secure and signed by Google . If it were modified, the APK signature would not match; so Android Auto would not let you update it.
Remember that Android Auto runs on the smartphone and the mobile itself projects it on the screen of your car, so you will not have to touch any other settings.
