Google I/O 2022 will take place on May 11-12 as a virtual event with live keynotes
Google had again announced this year's Google I/O with a riddle. The mystery has been solved, Google I/O 2022 will take place on May 11th and 12th. It is another virtual event that everyone can attend for free.
Google I/O 2022 will again be a virtual event this year, which the public cannot attend. Anyone can follow the event on io.google via YouTube, while the interactive I/O adventure world will be available again this year.
"Chat with Googlers, ask product questions, engage with the developer community, and expand your technical knowledge. Earn Google developer profile badges and virtual freebies. Create an avatar and look for Easter eggs. Try Google's new products and features in a sandbox."

Unlike other tech companies, Sundar Pichai and the developers' May 11th keynotes will be streamed live on the usual Shoreline Amphitheater stage. Last year the event was broadcast from the Googleplex with a small audience.
Various pre-recorded sessions on Android, Chrome/Web and more will be made available after the live stream. In addition to the I/O Adventure, there will also be the 2022 Learning Lab (workshops, tutorials, codelabs, etc.) and community groups. Registration is required to access these interactive features.
Google will announce the agenda/program shortly before I/O 2022. This event is one day shorter than usual, starting on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. It remains to be seen whether Google will use the live stream to announce new products, such as the Pixel 6a or the Pixel Watch.
