iPad Pro: Apple lacks the courage for something new
Anyone hoping for the big display revolution at Apple in 2022 can expect a disappointment. According to new reports, neither the 11-inch iPad Pro nor the Apple Studio Display will be getting a mini-LED upgrade any time soon.
Analyst: iPad Pro and Studio Display without mini-LED display
Where Apple is headed in terms of displays is becoming a little more confusing with each new week. Now, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst, has commented on the subject of mini-LEDs in upcoming Apple products. According to him, the next 11-inch version of the iPad Pro will not be enough for a mini-LED display (source: Ming-Chi Kuo on Twitter). According to Kuo, there are no immediate plans to equip the screen with the special display technology for the Studio Display just presented.
There were rumors before that Apple had to put its plans for the iPad Pro on hold – allegedly for cost reasons . Only time can tell whether the last word has actually been spoken here. According to display specialist and industry insider Ross Young, Apple could still consider introducing a 27-inch monitor with mini LEDs in June 2022. It is said to have a resolution of 5K and a refresh rate of no less than 120 Hertz.
Both Kuo and Young both have an impressive track record of display information for future Apple products. So the question remains intriguing as to whether Apple will be announcing new Mini LED products this year or just updating existing Mini LED devices .

Mini-LEDs: Advantages wherever you look
Mini-LEDs are considered the Holy Grail when it comes to display technologies. While AMOLED displays used to be ahead in terms of black levels, mini-LEDs can at least keep up. In addition, there are very high contrast values and high brightness.
