Netflix comes up empty: Amazon Prime grabs a complete cult series
Amazon pulls off a big coup, because anyone who wants to see all seasons of the cult series "Fargo" can now do so with Prime Video within the flat rate - previous Netflix viewers, on the other hand, will get nothing.
Since 2014, the series "Fargo" has been inspiring - an American crime series that is both a loose adaptation and a kind of spin-off of the cult film of the same name by Ethan and Joel Coen from 1996. Each season is self-contained and takes place in different time periods. Always top-class cast, among others we meet Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Kirsten Dunst, Ewan McGregor and Chris Rock.
Amazon is snatching Netflix Season 4 from Fargo
Sales in this country, on the other hand, is anything but constant. Seasons 1 to 3 were and are still available on Netflix, while the long-awaited season 4 premiered at the end of 2020 on Joyn, ProSiebenSat.1 Media's paid service - so even then Netflix was surprisingly empty-handed. To date, season 4 is missing on Netflix - annoying for fans.
However, those who have also subscribed to Amazon Prime Video can now look forward to it. Because since March 13th we have found all 4 seasons within the flat rate (watch season 4 on Amazon Prime Video, watch seasons 1 to 3 on Amazon Prime Video). Viewers who still haven't seen season 4 can finally catch up and those who don't know Fargo at all finally have the opportunity to watch all seasons in one go.
The fans have been waiting for this for a long time:
By the way: A 5th season was only recently confirmed , which should play in 2019 and thus pick up on a more contemporary ambience. It should probably be filmed at the end of 2022, so a release could be in 2023 or maybe not until 2024. In any case, there is still enough time to watch all previous seasons on Prime Video until then.
Why only watch good movies on Netflix? Trash can also be worthwhile:
Outstanding Reviews: Watch!
In any case, it's worth it - fans and critics agree. To date, the IMDb has given it an excellent 8.9 out of a possible 10 points . At Rotten Tomatoes it looks similarly good: 93 percent are from the professional critics, 84 percent from the audience. That's where it pays to tune in.
