Previously only on Sky, now on Netflix: This film takes on Marvel
The waiting is over. If you want to marvel at a very special superhero epic that can compete in quality with the best Marvel films, you can stream "Zack Snyder's Justice League" directly on Netflix starting today, Friday. So far you had to have Sky or pay extra for this.
Until now, anyone who wanted to see "Zack Snyder's Justice League" as part of a streaming flat rate had to have a Sky subscription or rent or buy the film individually. A year after the premiere on the pay channel, Netflix is finally including the superhero film in its program. It will be available for download from Friday, March 18th.
From March 18 on Netflix instead of only on Sky: Zack Snyder's Justice League
However, viewers should have plenty of stamina, because the film runs for more than 4 hours and was originally planned as a four-part mini-series by HBO, but in the end it was released completely as one film.
But what is it all about? In short, "Zack Snyder's Justice League" is the better and not just longer version of "Justice League" from 2017. More precisely, however, a completely new film was created, a more mature and much darker version, even if of course after like taking center stage before Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash.
Brief background story: Director Zack Snyder once had to give up the reins of Justice League and hand it over to Joss Whedon. The end result was a completely different film that didn't live up to his expectations. However, he was then able to implement it again with the so-called "Snyder Cut". The latter was demanded by fans for a long time and was ultimately successful.
A first foretaste in the trailer:
The film must therefore be viewed out of sequence. An alternative sequel to the Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad films, but not part of the DC Extended Universe as we know it.
How great is the rewrite?
In any case, the effort was worth it. For comparison, the original Justice League scores just 6.1 out of 10 on IMDb, while Zack Snyder's Justice League scores a phenomenal 8.1 . And the new version is also convincing on Rotten Tomatoes – 71 percent critic approval and even 94 percent among viewers. Ergo: This DC film takes on the best Marvel films. So if you've seen "Justice League" before and were disappointed at the time, you'll now receive a small compensation on Netflix.
