Samsung is said to be planning a third foldable device for this year
We all know that Samsung will launch at least two foldable phones this year, but what about a third? According to Galaxy Club, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 could get another sibling later this year. The question is, what could it be?
Samsung is the largest supplier of foldable smartphones on the market. The models of the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series are very popular. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 even outsold all other foldable phones combined in 2021.
Another phone could now be part of the launch plan, according to the latest report from the Galaxy Club. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 in Summer 2022. However, three codenames have been found for upcoming foldable devices.
These code names are Q4, B4 and N4. We know Q4 refers to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and B4 refers to the Galaxy Z Flip 4. N4 remains a mystery. The letter associated with the code name is not placed arbitrarily, but has a concrete meaning. For example, the "B" in B4 stands for "Bloom".
So the "N" might have something to do with functionality. Many might think of the word "note". While that's not a bad guess, a foldable Note would be redundant given the Galaxy Z Fold lineup.
A foldable tablet would be another possible foldable device from Samsung. But these are just guesses so far, there is nothing concrete at the moment.
