Disney+ Prime could be coming
Disney is said to have taken Amazon Prime as a model and is probably planning to launch a new subscription model. So far, it has been referred to as Disney+ Prime on the internet and, in addition to Disney+, should also have special merchandise offers and for the theme parks.
Disney would then not only want to make its streaming offer more palatable to more users, but also hope to sell more merch items or generate visitors for the amusement parks.
Another advantage would certainly be the user data, since Disney could then place even more targeted advertising in order to make even more sales.
Discussions about the subscription model are said to be at an early stage, so the planning phase should take a while. And when it starts, then probably only in the USA.
